Owenpmorgan
Hi there, I wrote a piano part to create a score, initially using the basic one voice 'piano' staff style. Later I decided I wanted to use the voice separation tool to shuffle notes between the left and right hands so I switched the region to piano 1/3, and all my dotted minims (the piece is in 3) turned to minims tied with a crochet! Kind of annoying and more fiddly to read, I tried dragging dotted minims over the top but didn't work. Is there a way to force respelling of the way score displays the duration of notes? Atlas007
Have you tried editing either of the (Quantize, Interpretation or Syncopation) Score Region Parameter? Or perhaps the Note Attributes, from Score Editor’s Functions > Attributes submenu., or from its contextual menu version(Ctrl-click on pre-selected targetted notes)? volovicg
Assuming you have not added a user rest, it is likely due to the settings you have for Max dots..... 1/ Make sure the staff system is selected 2/ Change Max Dots from 0 to 1.
Owenpmorgan
Fantastic, thanks guys it was the max dots setting being set to 0 rather than 1. Another paramenter I was ignorant to has been learned! Thanks so much for the replies, all the best! Owen
