ojan327
Is there a shortcut that allows one to adjust the automation of only a region on a track? Like a combo of keys to hold down before clicking and dragging up or down. Thanks!.
David Nahmani
I'm assuming Track automation? Option-click the region with the Automation tool (with the default toolset, that's Option-Command-click the region; in automation view, Option-Command-click the region's name area). ojan327
Thanks, David. Yes, track automation. Option-clicking with the automation select tool adjusts all automation on the track from that point forward. Is there a shortcut to adjust only the automation corresponding to a particular region? The way I do it now is by selecting the area with the marquee tool, but this looks sloppy with the nodes. It would be nice to have them snug along region's edges. David Nahmani
Thanks, David. Yes, track automation. Option-clicking with the automation select tool adjusts all automation on the track from that point forward. Sorry I meant with the Marquee tool. That's how you select all the track automation inside a region. Then you can easily just drag the whole thing up or down with the Pointer tool. This is something I explain in the Automation lesson (Lesson 10) in my book (in case you own it).
sambosun
Maybe you should switch your track automation to Region automation when automation view is active. That way you can add and edit automation on a Region level. There're also several key commands to convert track automation to region automation and vice versa.
