Hi, I'm trying to record an audio track and can hear sound from the mic through my monitors even when input monitoring on the channel is switched off. The sound is coming only out of the left monitor. I want to get rid of it so I can hear only what's being recorded. I've been using Logic for a few years without this problem which occurred when I upgraded 10 10.3.2. I thought it might be my interface and/or software and contacted focusrite but that's not the problem. I also use Pro Tools and the problem does not occur in Pro Tools. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Same here mark, depends on your audio interface and DAW, I use a Universal Audio interface,  I turn off Software monitoring in Logic, the input monitoring makes no difference, and still comes through my monitors if checked or unchecked, I just mute the fader on the interface when not recording.

Hi guys,

Finally solved this problem and it was all my fault. I open a new project and set up a series of aux inputs to use as bus channels. By default these channels are set as input 1&2. I pull up the faders to 0dB and of course I'm going to hear what's being inputted through these as well as the input channel itself. when I set the busses on the aux channels, hey presto, the extraneous sound disappears.

Thanks for your replies.
