Ploki
lowered gain to oblivion, bounced dithered and undithered. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8tdihbt28foh648/dithertest3.logicx.zip?dl=0 ^^ Logic. See how both files are the same, and they actually null out except the noise? https://www.dropbox.com/s/4q4agum4x0gsb95/dithertest4.logicx.zip?dl=0 ^^ Izotope. See how much detail the dithered file retained? Moral of the story: bouncing with logics own dither is just adding pointless noise.
Eric Cardenas
You are using a dither algorithm intended for 16-bit files. If you want to dither to 24-bit you need a third party solution. There are plenty of free AU-plugins that you can use.

Eric Cardenas
Those algorithms were created for the "CD era". You could ask apple here about why they have chosen to not introduce 24-bit options: Feedback - Logic Pro – Apple

It just adds noise and nothing else, and since logic doesn't offer any non-convouted handling of 32bit FP files, dithering is still a wise thing to do. Eric Cardenas
I agree that they should be greyed out for 24-bit bounces. To add to the issue is that there are other places where dithering could be used. i.e. Bounce in place, Join…
