Apparently Logic dithers AFTER truncation

lowered gain to oblivion, bounced dithered and undithered.

Moral of the story: bouncing with logics own dither is just adding pointless noise.  :evil:

Those algorithms were created for the "CD era".

You could ask apple here about why they have chosen to not introduce 24-bit options:

Feedback - Logic Pro – Apple

They should still be greyed out for bouncing to 24 bits regardless, even since forever. It just adds noise and nothing else, and since logic doesn't offer any non-convouted handling of 32bit FP files, dithering is still a wise thing to do.
