chbuschmann
When i select my (converted from drummer) midi regions and want to export the tracks as audio for external mixing, the option to so is grayed out. The same is true for both Bounce Region in Place and Track in place. How do i export my congas as audio?
Jordi Torres
Hi, Make sure you select the track that's assigned to the Ultrabeat channel strip in the mixer, then you'll be able to do it with Bounce Track In Place: J.
chbuschmann
Thank you for the answer, but no. If i choose a Drummer - Percussion - Latin+ it does not load Ultrabeat but EXS24. Perhaps this is the culprit, i do not know but i do not get the option to export/bounce the tracks in place.
Jordi Torres
I see the problem. You're not actually using a multi-output instrument. Each channel has its own EXS24. To achieve what you want, place empty MIDI regions on the tracks you want to export and use the Export all Tracks As Audio Files command. J. Eric Cardenas
You don't need the empty MIDI region method in later versions of Logic Pro X. Select the tracks you want to Export by Command-clicking on them then choose File > Export > x-tracks as audio files (or simply hit Command-E). Hope that helps. chbuschmann
Thank you, Eric. That did the trick.

Jordi Torres
Thanks Eric, good to know it's not longer necessary to use empty regions. @chbuschmann it does work anyway as you can see in my screen shot. J.
Eric Cardenas
Don't mention it Jordi! The old way works fine, as you say, it's just somewhat unintuitive.
