michaelft77
Mixing a record for a very nit picky singer with some pitch issues...... He has Logic Pro x and is tracking himself. He sends me raw vocal tracks, I tune up in Melodyne and mix. Only problem is he's not happy with my Melodyne tuning end result.......... I taught him how to use flex pitch in Logic........ at first he loved it, but now he's hearing the little bumps and artifacts within Logic........ drives him crazy....... now he's driving me crazy. You can't hear this stuff when the track is playing .... lol any solutions to these little bumps when you tune up using flex pitch?
David Nahmani
Send him back the tuned vocal tracks and tell him to learn how to sing in tune? Seriously, this has worked wonders for me. Hearing yourself sing in tune really helps learning to sing in tune. Even if you end up having to tune the result, it'll probably create less artifacts if he's closer to "in tune."
