Ploki
so i want complex stuff, like playback tracks changing midi programs and stuff like that, I also want the ease of use for mainstage to handle sound processing. Should I look elsewhere, or is it feasible to lets say, run logic to playback tracks and to send midi data to mainstage to change instruments and other CCs, while also handling processing? Somehow I believe running separate tracks (stereo track or two of playback, and click separately) etc. any help would be appreciated since i'm new here. edit: could it also send tempo information to mainstage, to sync delays and things like that? redgreenblue
I would not recommend trying to run Logic and MainStage at the same time. Here are some of my methods for using Logic live. https://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=128981 https://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=119908
Dewdman42
its possible to do midi and audio playback in Mainstage without logic. I'd go that route if I were you. For me the main advantage of Mainstage for live use is the concert setup with patches, etc..so go through a setlist... the part that is tricky is the playback, but there are various ways to get Mainstage to playback both midi and audio tracks.
