OnlyEchoesOfLife
Hi all, Following up with the automation bug that has been previously reported with Mackie HUI protocol (viewtopic.php?t=129390) I am using iCON QCon Pro X, firmware v. 1.14. In the empty project, automation is fine. In the normal DSP-heavy project, touch and latch (and sometimes write) modes behave abnormally. Looks like the communication is broken. Touch mode snaps to previous value and doesn't capture fader movements, resulting in only 1-2 nodes and averaging across them. The Latch mode jumps back and forth between the baseline value and the current fader value, instead of capturing the new baseline. If mouse is used for automation, all works well. Here is the video depicting the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u87a3lifpb0rynh/Automation%20Bug.mov?dl=0 The automation is also out of sync (visible on the video, automation writing happens ahead of playhead) Has anyone been able to solve this? Thanks a lot in advance!
Eric Cardenas
Try changing the Maximum MIDI bandwidth slider in Preferences > Control Surfaces.
OnlyEchoesOfLife
Try changing the Maximum MIDI bandwidth slider in Preferences > Control Surfaces. Thank you Eric! I tried it both at 0% and 100% (previously was at 75%). No difference. Looks like the problem is that when I don't move the fader, and the value is different from the baseline, it is not properly written (another video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f1kca8kncq1gobr/Automation%20Bug%20Example%202.mov?dl=0)
OnlyEchoesOfLife
I've also noticed this behaviour with my MIDI keyboard iRig keys pro. When using modulation wheel, it doesn't read through properly. However, if I unplug iRig, the controller is still malfunctioning.
OnlyEchoesOfLife
Hi all, Giving an update on this issue. I was able to identify that this problem is not detectable in Logic Pro X 10.1 and is very prominent in 10.3 under exact same settings: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ueni08aifqc8pj/QCon%20Logic%2010.1%20vs%2010.3.mp4?dl=0 I am talking to iCON support but they do not seem to be able to reproduce it. Any advice on whom to contact? The problem is clearly connected to the particular 10.3 update. Thanks much.

OnlyEchoesOfLife
Thanks kindly, Eric. I've already reported this bug by following this form, and no one has got back to me. I will try again, but unsure if this solves the problem... Thanks for your time!
