joachim_s
Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to be able to play just one Software Instrument track at a time from my keyboard. I'm trying to imitate a sound on my external synth that I made on a software synth. So, the highlighted track has to be soloed so that I can go back and forth. Kindly, Joachim
fisherking
option-click on the solo button for each track (learned that from eric on this forum!)
David Nahmani
You could also use Solo Mode (the big S button in the Control bar to the right of the LCD display, key command = Control-S). Now whatever regions you select are soloed. And since selecting a track selects its regions, you can simply click the track header of the track you wish to hear in solo. Mania
I think you are sound designing. Want to play the ext instrument, then the software instrument alternating to compare the sounds. Make sure auto input monitoring is on.

I’m always amazed at the little things I should know, but don’t.
