CANNOT turn input monitoring off... even when it's off?

I can hear my SM57 through my headphones and speakers at ALL TIMES and I cannot figure out how to turn this off. Input monitoring is off. I cannot hear my condenser through the headphones, but I can hear the SM57 and it is very annoying. Logic Pro X. iMac 5k 2014. PLEASE help asap:(

EDIT: In a new project with NO TRACKS, I can still hear the SM57.

EDIT: Without logic even open I can hear it.

It's a focusrite saffire Pro 40. I fixed it but now the record enable button wont show up?

That usually means the audio interface is not selected or doesn't show up in Logic's preferences.

Computer probably needs a restart.

Yes check to make sure an input device is selected in Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio.

I know this thread is ancient...but I have the exact same problem with the exact same interface. It seems to be that I’m direct monitoring through the interface itself

Referencing focusrites forum page a found out to go into mix control and change the routing preset to daw tracking and this completely solved the issue! I may leave this here in case someone else faces this same issue.
