CShorte
How do you compensate for audio recording delay. In the past, I have trimmed and move the audio. Is this the best way to compensate for late audio? In the channel strip, there is an item called Delay (in ticks) that can be set both +/-. Is this the parameter that I am looking for? What I am trying to do is to get the audio in-time with the MIDI given that the MIDI is recorded or quantized to a beat. Thanks.
Eric Cardenas
Hi CShorte. There are numerous steps to get this working depending on the application. What are you recording? Is it external instruments trigger by Logic's sequencer or is it recordings performed on an "acoustic" instrument?
CShorte
Hi Eric, I think that I have found the solution. By setting the 'Recording Delay' parameter to a value that reflects one-way delay based on having found the round-trip delay of 3.2 ms * 44.1 = 141.12 samples divided by 2 to get a sample delay of 71 samples. Is this the best approach? Thank you, CS.
