angelonyc
I like to cut out the silence in some tracks, so as to make the main window easier to see the arrangement.. That is in tracks with a lot of space, like a piano that only come in in Choruses, I cut out the region in verses. Likewise with tom rolls, I cut out the large spaces between the rolls.. It makes it easier to see where things are happening.. I remember reading years ago.. that cutting these spaces out, puts less strain on processors, that is there is nothing to play. Long tracks of silence, are still played by Logic. Is that still valid.. Does anyone have opinions about cutting the silence out of (not stripping silence command).. Thanx. Makes sense. I do the same. I remember reading years ago.. that cutting these spaces out, puts less strain on processors, that is there is nothing to play. Long tracks of silence, are still played by Logic. Yes, it's still valid.
