sfvo
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to record *exactly* 2.5 seconds of room tone. I record something close and when I look at the asset, although showing as time, it does not allow me to edit to 2.5. Any ideas or guidance? Thanks, Steve
DanRad
Open in the audio editor and trim to exactly 2.5.

David Nahmani
Open the audio TRACK editor. Resize by dragging the lower right corner of the region. If you need to, hold down Control as you're dragging (start dragging then hold Control and continue dragging) for more precision until you read the desired length. Later, in the Tracks area, select the region and choose Edit > Convert > Region to New Audio File.
sfvo
Hi David, I *think* I accomplished but I don't see the same pop up you displayed. I dbl clicked in region in track area to get to Track editor, made sure TRACK was selected in lower window, selected lower right hand corner, but get strange display pop up. David Nahmani
Choose File > Project Settings > General and disable the musical grid in order to see time in hours:mn:sec... Also choose Logic Pro X > Preferences > Display and make sure Display Time as is set to Hours : Minutes : Seconds . Milliseconds
