Midi click metronome

With Logic 9, I used to use a midi click for the metronome. I could always hear it and it never distracted from the music I was working on. In Logic X, I have never been able to find a midi click metronome. The main metronome is either too loud or if I turn it down, too soft, and it is obnoxious sounding no matter where I put the settings. What am I missing! How do I get just a click metronome in Logic Pro X?

Choose File > Project Settings > Metronome and try adjusting the "Tonality" slider?

Well... now I'm confused. That setting adjusts what you call "the main metronome" which you said was either too loud or too soft... so I'm assuming you could hear it???

Perhaps the Klopfgeist was replaced by another plugin or replaced by an external (MIDI) click source?

BTW, which MIDI device is playing your MIDI click?

It sends MIDI Notes on bars, beats etc... on the MIDI ports selected in the "Ports" pop-up menu. You need an external instrument connected to that port for it to receive those notes and turn them into a Metronome sound.

In your current setting, the Klopfgeist is not used.

Some other plugin or instrument (either internally or externally) is receiving the C#1 notes from Logic's metronome clock...

For clarity sake, I think Apple should add in the metronome settings pane, a vertical divider line between the audio click's and the MIDI click's parameters...
