Logic/Kontakt/recording capture weirdness

The strangest thing just started happening. When I do a recording capture (Shift/R) and using cc 1 and 11 during the captured recording, the notes are held for the length of the recording (instead of stopping when I stopped playing the notes) once I move the cc1 and 11. Doesn't happen when I do a take by hitting record, only when using Capture Recording after playing it.

And get this, it only happens with particular sample libraries, made by a specific developer. The part I'm writing is strings, so I tried some other libraries by other developers, and it doesn't seem to happen with them. That's impossible isn't it? What gets laid down on the midi track doesn't have anything to do with the instruments loaded into Kontakt right? Other than the sound it makes?

This is what I get for working when I'm supposed to be at a christmas party.
