BarrieB
Hi all, since I updated to 10.3 I've found that everytime I record a midi region there is a low (C-2) note recording in the manner of a metronome - this even if I turn off all the metronome settings - I cannot imagine where it's coming from, and something I've never experienced before. It's not even the note in the metronome settings. I have very little connected to the computer as I pretty much work in the box, but I have disconnected my RME Fireface 802 and also the Komplete Control S88. I promise I've spent a good hour two going through and through midi and metronome settings, but I'm confounded! Anyone have any bright ideas? I'm sure I'm doing something stupid..... all best wishes, Barrie
BarrieB
...oh, just found something else, EXS24 is self oscillating in a strange manner......blimey, this is a bit of a worry - no idea if they are connected.... Mac Pro 10.11.6 (early 2009) Logic 10.3.3 - wondering if there is any issue there?
rodrigolanabh
Hello! Your Metronome channel is probably sending information to another channel via the bus. You checked that?
JakobP
Are you sure it's not your midi keyboard that's sending metronome click while you record ?
Solution David Nahmani Posted January 21, 2018 Solution Share Posted January 21, 2018 Try to choose Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Bypass All Control Surfaces and see if the issue disappear?
BarrieB
Hello to Rodrigo, Jakob and David - thanks so much for posting suggestions - David is on the money, it turned out to be a control surface conflict. But what crazy symptoms, I was looking everywhere else but there! Thanks again guys!!!
