floorjam
This feature used to be set in prefs>audio>general by setting 'track mute/solo' to 'CPU saving'. That option appears to no longer be available in Logic x audio prefs but there must be a way to do this? Thanks, Nick.
David Nahmani
The alternative in Logic Pro X is to use the Tracks On/Off buttons. You can press Option-T to open the Track Header Configuration pop-up and choose the On/Off button (the first checkbox at the top). For soloing you may find it easier to select the track (along with all the regions on that track) and press Control-S for solo mode.
floorjam
Thanks David. So basically they did away with it; Logic is the worse for it. I loved that feature. Thanks again.
David Nahmani
It's really the same feature but with a different interface. CPU Saving muting is the same thing as turning a track off. Only Logic doesn't have an interface equivalent to the CPU Saving soloing. But if you use Solo mode it will behave the same.
