thechristianbernal
Ok- opened up a project today I have been working on for weeks(years, really), last night even. However- now upon opening it this morning, it told me that "one or multiple regions have been changed in length"- and my only option is to say "ok"- so I do, and now several of my regions are not only horribly off, they have this symbol next to their name <=>, if I copy and paste the correct regions from other tracks(since some are doubled) they paste in THE SAME INCORRECT WAY THEY WERE before! These are all tracks made from 4 vocal "takes"- so there are sections of different audio files. Its basically moved around the start and end points, typically to areas that don't even make sense, like they're not even close to where the region was within the file. I have also tried making a new track with the proper regions, deleting the original track, and replacing with the new one, which worked partially, some regions still "changed" to the incorrect ones. please help.......... Solution Eric Cardenas Posted January 19, 2018 Solution Share Posted January 19, 2018 It means that the region is time stretched and following tempo (; and stereo). Go to the region inspector and switch off Follow Tempo...(and Pitch) to get back to the non stretched audio region.

David Nahmani
thank you! However- NOW i cant seem to add anything to the tracks I used flex on, without it changing them! WTH?! Keeps making them longer That happens if the audio doesn't have the same tempo information as the project. Then Flex will stretch the audio to make it match the project tempo. You can select the audio region and choose Edit > Tempo > Export Tempo Information to Audio File to make sure it has the same tempo information as the current project. The audio region should resume its normal length.
