Plowman
If only Logic programmers had Eric's precision and alacrity. Off to the Bug forum this goes. Is there any simple function those folks cannot corrupt?
Jangus
Just curious, why is it a bug? Looks pretty normal. Drag in a slur and position it as needed with the nodes. What is it supposed to do, that it is not doing ?

Jangus
"From 10.3.2:" Could you elaborate just a little, per my question? Yes, i'm in 10.4 but is it not the same for you? I just don't see what the bug is?
Plowman
Insert:Slur Up should add a slur whose ends are close to the noteheads with an upwards arc to the center. I have no doubt that 10.4.1 will correct this. To correct the current bug, the user needs to raise the slur (by dragging or Vertical Pos.: numerical entry). If the interval is large enough, an additional adjustment may be needed to draw down the start of the slur. Of course the reverse is true with Insert: Slur Down. The slur start and end are close to the note stems with the arc scooping downward. These are usually used only in polyphonic staves for discrete voices. In extreme cases, a monophonic staff may use a stem-to-stem slur to avoid symbol collisions. Slurs as they presently appear in 10.4 make no musical sense, though it's fun to make frowny faces. Jangus
OK, thanks. So they have things reversed by mistake. Now I get it. It is kinda funny. Thanks

inheritsfrom
From 10.3.2: Automatic Slur in Logic 10.3.2.gif What key combination are you using to add the slur? I can't seem to get it to work. MacOS 10.13.6 Logic 10.4.
Plowman
Here's the key commands as they appear in the KC window. There is no default. The user can choose the key strokes.
