Toggle control surface follows track selection or Track Lock (X-Touch)

I'm testing an X-Touch with Logic X, and I'm trying to figure out how I can toggle between track follow and having the tracks locked on the X-Touch. I can think of two possible ways if it's not built in, but none of them work:

1) Is there a key command for the toggle switch "control surface follows track selection"?

2) "Track Lock" in the Control Surface Setup seems to be what I'm looking for, but that doesn't have any effect at all, with or without "control surface follows track selection" on or off

Or if you have any other ideas? Thanks!

Hi - did you ever find a solution?  I have an XTouch One and Logic is set so Control Surface Follows Track Selection, so no matter what track I'm on, the XTouch fader controls it.  I also have an iPad running Logic Remote, and that unit is Track Locked so it always controls Tracks 1-8 (my main VCAs).  I'm wondering if the 9 fader XTouch would do the same.
