0B02
I have two LPX projects that I want to quickly flip between to compare mix settings, etc. At the moment if I have two projects open at the same time, each time I flip between them it takes time for LPX to load all the audio files and software instruments for that project. Is there any way of getting LPX to effectively 'pre-load' the audio and software instruments for both projects, effectively making flipping between them pretty much instantaneous? I'm working on an eight core Mac Pro 3.1 with its RAM maxed out, a separate HD for recording and a seperate SSD for samples (all three are in the Mac Pro's drive bays). Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
Solution simon.a.billington Posted February 20, 2018 Solution Share Posted February 20, 2018 You can turn off the Audio Engine. Although you can’t effectiveely play or record anything, it will let you jump from one project to another without all those annoying loading times. fusbur
Not ideal but certainly handy if all you want to do is compare relative fader levels or other parameters during mixing.
