hugelittle
Hello, I've found some related things online but nothing that lays it out simply. How do you connect two keyboards using MIDI Thru to control multiple tracks in Logic? More specifically, I have a MOTIF XS6 supplying the majority of sounds and a CP4 STAGE supplying the piano sound. I'd like to run the CP4 Thru to Logic so I don't have to keep switching things out. Does anyone know of a flow chart for something like this with an explanation? Thanks in advance, Hugh Little
David Nahmani
Make sure all sounds used are setup on different MIDI Channels... this should help: https://www.logicprohelp.com/instruments-tracks-midi-channels/
hugelittle
Ok that WAS quite informative, however how do I set it up with MIDI IN/OUT/THRU?
David Nahmani
Do your keyboard have USB? If yes, forget MIDI, and connect the USB to your Mac. If a keyboard doesn't have a USB connection, the connect its MIDI Out to a MIDI In port on a USB MIDI Interface, and the MIDI Out from the interface to the MIDI In on the keyboard. Don't use THRU.
