Flex Time Help

When I turn Flex Time off and then turn it back on, why do I lose everything I've been working on? More specifically, all the manual flex markers I edited are now deleted and all normal ones are back to their original position

If you turn it off and then on again, Logic will rescan for the transients, that's expected behaviour. If you want to keep what you've done just hit the Flex button, which hides the flex view but it doesn't turn it off.

But what if I want to AB what I've created through Flex Time and the original signal? Also isn't there a "rescan" button already? Idk it just seems odd :/

I see what you mean, I haven't really thought of doing that but an easy way would be to copy down your original region and mute it until you want make a comparison. There could be a different way that I don't know about.

No, Logic scans for transients only once. The expected behavior is for Flex to retain your Flex edits so that you can toggle it on/off without losing your edits:

In Logic 9 you get a Flex mode pop-up menu with the value "Off" like in the Track inspector in LPX, but the results are the same. Any way you turn Flex off (for example in the Region inspector, or in the Track inspector), you should never lose your Flex edits and Logic should never re-scan for transients.
