melodea
How comes Logic Metering is peaking heavily with a Limiter set on 0.0 dB or even -0.3 dB ceiling? Any ideas for good tutorials about Logic's metering interaction with native and 3.party plug ins?
danyg
you have probably set your meters to "PRE". you see what goes to your limiter and not what goes out (post)
Eric Cardenas
Pre vs Post fader metering in Logic is only for the volume fader but not pre/post plug-ins. I'm not sure which limiter you are using but my first thought is inter-sample peaks. Can you attach a screenshot of the specific scenario? danyg
yes, I think he sees the Logic Meter going red and the Limiter output is set to minus-whatever
Eric Cardenas
But that would only happen if the fader is set to post and the fader is above unity, since the signal is being limited. That's why I suggested inter sample peaks. (The output channel strip is always in post mode, regardless of Logic's global preference for metering.) @Melodea Another thing to verify is that your Master fader is at unity.
