mkruse
Hi all, Just wanted some clarification, would I be right in stating that Chroma Verb is designed for long modulated digital sounding reverbs, rather than realistic emulations of space? oscwilde
Yep... Chromaverb is algorithm-based. If you could imagine a rainwater tank, with curved surfaces that reflections rotate in....rather than a reverb that emulates reflections that bounce off the walls of a square or rectangular room...that's kind of the concept behind CV. It can emulate "rooms", but the algorithms each represent a non-traditional room shape, so sound different to other algorithmic reverb types, such as Silververb, Platinumverb etc. Space Designer is all about real-world spaces such as halls, cathedrals a.s.o., although they can be pretty unusual....so you can create / use an IR of the inside of a saucepan, or coffee cup, for example...and place your vocalist inside these tiny spaces.
