jbw
When you record something using the Chords MIDI FX, it will only show the single MIDI note you used, and I'd like to be able to record the actual chord output. Is there any way to do this?
jbw
What I'm looking for is something like what Reason has, the "Direct Record" switch along the top of their equivalent to Logic's MIDI FX: https://www.propellerheads.se/en/reason/instruments/player-devices#scales-chords This gives you the actual MIDI output, and not just the single note input, when recording. Dewdman42
You can also use the external instrument plugin to send the chords to IAC and then record them onto a different track. The problem you are dealing with is that the order of midi signal processing happens like this: Input->sequencer->track->instchannel Since you have the chords plugin on the Inst channel it is not creating chords until after the input midi hits the track. So anyway quick and dirty way, use external Inst plugin to send the chords to IAC, which then appears again as input to logic. You have to take care though to prevent the chords from hitting the first channel again with the chord plugin. There are different ways of doing that. jbw
As Assessor mentioned. I use this tons. http://www.audiocr.com/midi-fx-freeze/ Thanks for the link. This seems to work better than what I found. I was getting some glitches with the other method.
