Snare rolls in ultrabeat

In the Studio Tight kit in ultrabeat there are some snare rolls. Is there a way to lengthen them? Thanks.

Haven't used Ultrabeat for a while, but IIRC, the studio kits are mostly based on samples, correct? If that's the case for the snare roll, I don't think there's much you can do to add more hits since it's just an audio sample.

I was hoping it was like some of the Roland stuff where you can manipulate the mod wheel to create a roll, etc.

Maybe note repeat will help. See below.

1) Press Control-Option-Return to open Note Repeat,

2) Click the disclosure triangle in front of "Rate",

3) Check the box next to "Modulation Wheel".

 

There’s a nice Snare Drum Roll at A0 (MIDI Key A-zero) on your keyboard when you load the Orchestral/Percussion/Orchestral Kit in Logics’ own Library of sounds.

 

You just drag a midi note out as long as you need for a long roll.

 

Perhaps there’s even a way to to get it into Ultra Beat, but you will have to ask about that, as I am not sure.

 

Perhaps give it a try and see if it fulfills your needs.

Thank you both for the ideas.The note repeat thing in ultrabeat was truly dreadful The snare roll in the Orchestral percussion could be useful, however I wanted to get one of those rolls where the snare kind of "dies" at the end. Both these examples make for rolls that, if anything, get louder as they go on. I found a voice called "shot snare" in ultrabeat which is pretty good and can be varied by the note length to "die" on cue.
