Hi David, the overlay in your screenshot is not the one I meant. The one I mean appears when scrolling through the project. It’s squarish black transparant with a big number and the word ‘track’ or ‘bar’ in smaller letters underneath.

Ooh I see, I've seen that one in videos for the new Logic versions. Then I"m not sure as I am still in 10.4.4.

Preferences->Display->Tracks
Check / Uncheck, Show Track or Bar number while scrolling.
