Overlapping takes

Noob here! How does one get multiple takes to overlap over each other and play simultaneously rather than cut off? Please refer to the screenshot for clearer idea.

Inside a take folder you can’t overlap comps. You can unpack the folder to individual tracks and use overlaps there. If you export active comp it will preserve your edits and those can be used as a starting point.

So I have to make individual tracks for each? Is there a way to merge the tracks into one to avoid creating a confusing mess? Thanks again!

Here’s how I would go about it. Use the ‘export active comp to a new track’ option. This will take the current comp and copy it to a new track but with regions for each edit in the comp. Then I would make a duplicate of that track and move every other region to the copy. Now you can adjust the beginning and ending of each region and overlap them as you like.

Hi! When i use export active comp to new track, only export a section of the take.. why ? I cant find the solution...

That's odd, you should see all three pieces of the comp on the new track. Can you make a copy of the take folder somewhere else on the track (at the end of the song) to test it again there?

I created a new project and now it works good.. it seems to be something on this project... do you have any suggestion of what can be?

I'm not sure you could try to duplicate the track and its content (Option-drag the track icon down to create a copy) to see if that behaves ?

Then it's just project corruption, which can happen from time to time.

I've had similar problems and the fix for me was to unpack and repack the take folder. Of course, you lose the comps.. but you've only got a couple. Maybe try that?
