Komplete Kontrol S Series Owners (question re: Auto Assign)

Question: I was under the impression Logic could automatically assign the S Series Mk 2 knobs to on screen controls. Is that not the case?

 

The controller connects to Logic just fine. Transport and other controls are a-okay. I just thought the Mk 2 was a supported controller for auto-assign. Would looooove to not have to assign every knob manually.

Sorry...there is no automatic assignment for any DAW's native devices. See p.146 of the Komplete Kontrol manual.

 

The knobs can be used to control volume or pan. Beyond that, you'll have to use Logic's MIDI learn.

Ah, too bad! Such a great controller. It would be great for Native Instruments to go the extra mile on that one. Can't think of a controller I've actually enjoyed working with aside from the mk 2.

Also in the stand alone Komplete Kontrol all you can create templates. Assign what you need. Then on the hardware keyboard you can switch between the templates.

I have read from certain vender websites that the apogee symphony desktop REQUIRES an i7 processor or better. Can you confirm you have sucessfully used it with your i5? Thanks

For anyone else (though this question is unrelated to the original thread) - the Symphony Desktop from Apogee works with i5 processors. I used to use mine with an i5 iMac before upgrading to an M1 Mac mini. And I just tested it with an i5 Macbook. Works as expected.
