XMaramena
I saw this question was posted before - how to link a modulation depth parameter to an automation CC, and it was replied - use as a perform channel - I don't know how to link it to a perform channel. So, could you explain to me step by step, how if I have AHDSR2>Filt1 Cutoff "DEPTH" as my required variable, how I can assign that an automation line? theLonius_D
Same issue here.. pretty recent so I might be missing something, but it appears that the depth parameter in the modulation panel is not something that can be automated. I'm trying to automate the depth of a sidechain env follower for the pitch of one of the oscillators (sources). That old post you refer to is showing how to adjust (in my case) the attack, release, or gain of the env follower, NOT the depth to which the pitch is being adjusted. That is as close as it appears we can get. so once you set the depth, all you can adjust is (in your case) is the actual AHDSR parameters, the knobs that show in the AHDSR panel. Those are the perform controls mentioned in the other post. On the track, where you can choose what you're automating with the line, go to alchemy>AHDSR>AHDSR 2 (or whichever one you're trying to adjust) and there you can choose from the "perform" options: AHDSR2 attack, AHDSR2 sustain, etc. The depth to which the AHDSR is actually modulating anything (such as your filter cutoff) is not automatable. That other post is 4 years old, and yours is a few months.. I'm hoping at some point by now somebody has figured this out. If they have, I haven't anything about it yet. I also hope that if it't true that the mod depth cannot be automated that Apple gets on that.. sometime in the next 4 years.
