DEVO
Hi I understand this process for individual loops, leads, etc, but is there a process to say extract the individual bass line from a full track?
redgreenblue
Theoretically Flex Pitch should be able to do this.
David Nahmani
If by full track you mean a fully mixed band then it's going to be challenging for Flex Pitch to distinguish the bass notes. You can try to filter out the higher frequency and remove all side material keeping only the center... but still there's no guarantee it will work. Catamuzik
Similar question: is it possible to convert audio to midi if the audio is a solo piano track with chords and all? I tried the flex pitch method but it seems that only works for single notes.
steveLpx1
melodyne might work "depending on depending on"...I've done it, but it's not for the faint of heart, I only did it 'cause the client insisted (and was willing to cover the time)...hth.../s~

Yeah, extracting a single element from a song is unlikely to ever really be a thing. But hey, this is a way you learn how to write music, by figuring out the parts on your own.
