PantellicA
Hi! I’m working on a mix that I can’t seem to get right, there is a digital “sizzle” over the whole thing and I can’t seem to get the depth and punch I’m used to. sounds like a low rate mp3. The thing is I recorded the lead vocals and midi drums via my laptop which was accidentialy set to 16 bit recording. I have then imported the vocal and midi track to my studio computer which is set to 24 bit and finished the rest of the tracks. So, the lead vocal is not 24 bit, but the whole mix, mastered and finished, sounds 16bit. Is it possible that the lead vocal track downgrades the whole project to 16? In other words, do I have to start over or will a new 24 bit vocal recording solve this eventual problem? Many thanks!
