Solution 3ple Posted December 16, 2019 Solution Share Posted December 16, 2019 This is something that I've always struggled with since the first day I started working with Logic. Sometimes it seems that the quantization is "stuck" to some previous grid and when I try to quantize, it goes to a place that's not supposed to. Check the image. Those notes were definitely not supposed to go to that place when I try to quantize. It feels as if Logic is now quantizing notes based on a previous grid. Is there a way to "normalize" the quantization, the same way we can normalize the region parameters? Hope it makes sense. Also, if someone can explain why this happens, that would be amazing! EDIT: I found that my project was too fast for the grid. It was at 144bpm and so 1/16 note was not working. I tried with 1/8 note and it worked as expected. As to "normalize" the quantization, I found the option Functions > MIDI Region Parameters > Apply Quantization Permanently
