Error message -48

Hey, after so many vocal takes I always get an error message when pressing record or play stating "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -48.)" and it does not let me play the song nor record anything. How can I fix this issue? Ive already tried saving it again under Save As and also tried saving project alternatives under file.

I'm having the same problem every time I try to record on a vocal track.

Try this:

1) Create a new track.

2) Name the track some unique name.

3) Press record.

Ok you say press record and then? It's working on the new project and then what's the next step please?

This was a suggested test to the OP to see if he'd get the same error message after naming the track. 

Do you have that same issue?

Hi, I haven't named the track does it make any difference? I didn't get the error message this time though. I'll try naming it right now to see if it changes anything.

Ok I've just tried naming the project 'test' then tried to record some audio and it worked no problem.

I'm going crazy!!! Why isn't it working on the actual project??? Isn't it the same type of audio track? What option should I make sure is selected or whatever?

Did you try the suggested test on your actual project?

So you mean I should create another audio track and see if it's working? Ok I'll try that.

Ok, recording audio on a new track is not a problem, why's that? 

Anyway, I'll just keep that new track and delete the other one. That's very strange though.

So there's one specific track that triggers the issue? You could try renaming that original track. Or just move on if it's working now. 🙂
