eddydenton
I'm working on a podcast project and I'm having trouble with a sidechain compressor quirk in Logic Pro X 10.2.4. I have a backing music track that I'm trying to apply two separate sidechain compressors to, one is controlled by voiceover track to duck the music when there is talking, the second is controlled by other miscellaneous audio track. I have both compressors on the insert of the music track, there are no aux sends. However it seems that when I try to have two compressors operating, the first one works normally, ducking the music when the VO occurs but the second compressor just works like a normal compressor, ignoring the sidechain setup. Anyone have an idea why this is happening?
des99
I don't know offhand but a workaround could be to send the voiceover and misc tracks to a new aux (which is not routed to the stereo out), and use that combined mix of vo + misc to sidechain into the (single) compressor to duck the main audio.
