Christopher11
Hi. When I open a project I'd originally started in Logic 7, LPX asks me for a Space Designer impulse: Please Locate: 2.2s_Long Kick Verb.SDIR I can't seem to find it on a search. Is there a way I can download that impulse and put it in the appropriate folder? Thanks so much in advance for any reply.
danyg
what does your "Sound Library Manager" say? Do you have everything installed and updated?
Christopher11
Hi there. Thank you for writing back. It says everything is installed.
cinningbao
I've had this problem in the past.. if you've still got the CDs they're on there, otherwise you might be able to find them on the internet somewhere by looking for Legacy Logic SDIR's... On the other hand it might be easier to just pick a IR from the your current collection
Christopher11
Thank you. Will try that. I wish there was a way to fool Logic, even by using a different impulse but naming it the same as the one LPX is looking for. I have to okay the dialog box like four times before even opening that project. Can you tell me where Logic keeps the impulse files for Space Designer? Thank you. cinningbao
Why not just duplicate the channel, mute the old one and pick a new IR for the duplicate? Then you'll have the old one should you come across the old file, and a new one which works. I'd save that version as another project, and then delete the old SD looking for that Long Kick Verb.SDIR. You could rename another file the same as Logic is asking for, but you'd also need to know where Logic is looking for it. Logic is looking for the SDIRs in HD/Library/Audio/Impulse Responses/Apple/ and the folders beneath there.
