dtrees
Hi all, I have never used a DAW and would like to purchase both Logic Pro X and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen interface (for home guitar/bass music recording) and I ask for the forums assistance to check if my MacBook pro is compatible with this system: my MacBook Pro retina 13 inch early 2015 with 2.9 GHZ Dual Core Intel Core i5; 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3; Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB; 169 GB storage available. Thank you for your consideration and reply.
triplets
Hi there, Logic X will run on your laptop, but because it's a dual-core it won't handle heavy projects, so you might get system overload messages in those scenarios.

Mania
I have an ancient MBP from 2009 and it works fine with about 30-40 tracks, lots of Logic plugins. You are fine unless you are into 200 track symphonic templates.
