Possible to disable pitch bend to single plugin?

Hey guys. I'm trying to disable the pitch bend parameter to one of the instruments I'm controlling in a real-time live performance. I've disabled the pitch parameters to the relevant parts in Omnisphere, but I would like to disable it in the Waves piano sampler I'm using for a grand piano sound. The plug itself doesn't have a pitch bend range control. If I disable the pitch wheel in Logic's Input filter section, I lose the control over one of the instruments I will be bending in the performance. Is there any sort of clever workaround to disable the function within Logic, but only for the one plugin? Thanks!

Use a Modifier MIDI FX plug-in on that channel strip. Set the Input Event to Pitchbend and Re-Assign To some unused MIDI CC.
