Rolomoto
⌃⌥⌘T is supposed to open the control bar but it doesn't, in fact I can't get it to function as a key command. Same for ⌃⌥⌘P.
Mark R
It could be caused by Logitech "Options" software for their mice and/or keyboards. See recent topic below. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=147121
Rolomoto
thanks, I'm using a logitech keyboard. I removed the options software but ⌃⌥⌘T and P still don't work. I know that ⌃⌥⌘I works so it's just some combinations.
Mark R
Toolbar and Autopunch key commands from my apple wireless kybd work here. I'm on 10.4.8 with High Sierra. Do you have another keyboard to try? I have a logitech wireless kybd out in the studio. I'll give it a try out there and report back.
Mark R
Logitech K480 kybd (that I use for ipad) without the Options software also works for those key commands on my 10.4.8 Mojave iMac here. Another thing to check, Did you simply remove the Options software or did you "uninstall" it? Followed by a computer reboot?
Rolomoto
I have a logitech 740 and an 800, neither work. I did uninstall and reboot. I'm getting a cheap Dell keyboard this week that I can try. Thanks.
Rolomoto
Still don't work with the Dell, although some ⌃⌥⌘ do work.
rAC
You have checked that they are assigned as key commands?

rAC
Just wanted to eliminate the obvious.
David Nahmani
I wish you could try with an Apple keyboard. Know anyone that could lend you one perhaps?
Rolomoto
yes, I got my hands on a magic keyboard and the same thing. ⌃⌥⌘P and ⌃⌥⌘A don't work. I tried to enter the default for show the toolbar ⌃⌥⌘T but it wouldn't enter.
David Nahmani
1. Try a new user account on your Mac. 2. Check the Show/Hide Toolbar assignment in your key command window.
blinkofani
Still don't work with the Dell, although some ⌃⌥⌘ do work. Have you checked in your Mac System Prefs, under Keyboard/Shortcuts that these combinations are not assigned to something else on your mac? Rolomoto
I logged in as a different user but it was the same. There are no conflicts with macos shortcuts. I have checked the key command in the key command window. I'm using a somewhat older mac (2012), I don't know if that matters.
David Nahmani
No, doesn't matter. Did you... 2. Check the Show/Hide Toolbar assignment in your key command window.
Rolomoto
yes, it is unassigned. I want to assign the default but I can't enter the command, I type ⌃⌥⌘T but nothing goes in.
rAC
Have you tried both Cmd and Opt buttons on the keyboard? There was a thread here recently about someone whose left cmd button didn’t work [but the right did].
Rolomoto
I tried every combination but none worked.
David Nahmani
yes, it is unassigned. Ok then that's the issue. I want to assign the default but I can't enter the command, I type ⌃⌥⌘T but nothing goes in. Do not select that "key" field, just click the Learn by Key Label button.
Rolomoto
that's what I've been doing, it doesn't work.
Solution David Nahmani Posted May 9, 2020 Solution Share Posted May 9, 2020 That's either a key combination conflict with your Logitech software or with MacOS.
Rolomoto
turns out that even though I uninstalled logitech options with appcleaner it was still in there, so I manually deleted it and now everything works. Thanks for the help! I happened to be in sys prefs accessibility and noticed the daemon launcher was still in there.
