art Lowell
Where is this, and why is the beginning SMPTE at 1 2 001? Shouldn't I be able to build in some lead-in time?

art Lowell
Thanks , Des.That's where I expected to find it, but even with the first SMPTE numbers set at 1 1 1, the beginning number shows at 1 2 001. And the second set of numbers is grayed out. Shouldn't I be able to find a negative number for some lead-in time?
des99
I don't recommend starting Logic at negative bar numbers. just make your SMPTE start time start at bar 2 1 1 1 or something - change the Bar Position field to 2 1 1 1 (or whatever), and have that play at SMPTE start time of 01:00:00 (or whatever). (The second set of numbers is enabled if you enable them with the "Enable separate SMPTE view offset" checkbox immediately above them, but that's not something you need to use. It's really a power user feature.)
art Lowell
I only bothered to worry about once a long time ago, so I may have imagined (or misremembered) how that worked. I have plenty of other, more annoying issues with what Logic has done to itself. Thanks.
