Clyde P.
Hi Logic Proers... I'm trying to set the MIDI Sync so my MIDI slave (Synthstrom Deluge) starts in the song at the same measure I start in Logic (oh maybe it's in Deluge?!) Now I always have to start from the top in Logic to be synced... I know you can do that but it doesn't seem to work in any settings I tried in the MIDI Sync section... so... what's the trick? Thanks! enossified
The secret is MIDI Song Position Pointer. SPP is a message that indicates bar and beat location so that two sequencers can synch back up when jumping around in a song. According to the Deluge documentation p. 229 SPP is supported. You need to enable it in Logic. Read this. Use "Song - SPP at Play Start and Stop/SPP/Continue at Cycle Jump" mode.
Clyde P.
Great thanks! It's actually the new Deluge update that has a bug with MIDI by USB... they're working on it
