TrentGHill
Greetings all! I am getting back into recording and composition after a long hiatus--my last real experience using Logic was with Logic 9. I'm working on a project in Logic 10.5.1 and would like to use the Step Editor to draw in a recurring drum pattern and edit velocities. However, the "Open Step Editor" command is grayed out in the Window menu. I've enabled all the advanced editing tools in Preferences > Advanced Tools. Is there anything else I need to do to enable it? I can do what I need to do in the Step Sequencer, but I'd prefer the Step Editor if I can get it online. Thanks! Solution des99 Posted August 1, 2020 Solution Share Posted August 1, 2020 Do you have a MIDI region selected (not a step sequencer Pattern region, which is not a MIDI region) when you're trying to open a MIDI editor window?
TrentGHill
Sorted! I didn't realize pattern regions were different. Thanks.
cleamon
Sorted! I didn't realize pattern regions were different. Thanks. BTW: double clicking a region will open the appropriate editor.
