Adding a track without changing tempo

Hallo,

I apologize for posting twice the same subject, but it is still unclear to me how to solve this problem.

When importing an audio file, the tempo is increased drastically:

 

- Keep Tempo is enabled

- sample rate (whether it's the same or different then the project) it doesnt seem to affect

- Manually changing the tempo doesnt affect the region either

 

Im really clueless

What format is your audio file?

Hi David, it is an mp3 audio

mp3 is a distribution format, you need to work with a production format (PCM files like .wav or .aif). There's a known issue with mp3 in Catalina. Convert your mp3 to wav and try using the wav file in Logic.

Oh, I see... I converted it in .wav and in .aif using different online converters and everytime I imported it in Logic it got stuck. I had to quit Logic several times now. Also the size of the files went from 9 MB b to 54 Mb

Maybe I should download a converter that works well with this?

Try using iTunes or QuickTime for this.

Yes, Audacity is a great freeware to use for this.
