Rendawg
Hello, I'm using a Yamaha MX49 keyboard as a midi controller and all works fine when creating and recording LogicPro software tracks (has been working like this for over a year). When I record midi tracks and use the sound generator of the MX keyboard the volume comes out about 75% lower than all my other tracks. This happens while I'm just playing the keyboard prior to recording and after the track is recorded. I can't figure out why the volume is so low when recording this way. Set Up: iMac 27", 32GBs Ram, 4Ghz i7, Radeon R9 Video High Sierra, 10.13.6 LogicPro X 10.4.6 Focusrite Scarlet 2i4 USB (Volume for the keyboard input is set to 3.5 out of 10 on the gain or it begins to distort) Any help is appreciated. Regards, R
enossified
Most software instruments have really hot outputs and in fact should be turned down. Ideally the level of a single track should be around -12, you'll notice most software instruments hit 0 and sometimes go beyond when you play large chords with high velocity. What pre-fader levels are you seeing on your MX49 audio tracks?
