WIZARDZ Posted September 18, 2020 Share Posted September 18, 2020 Hi I have added a software instrument but the channel strip is not working for only this current song i am making, all other songs it operates in fine, I tried to disable then re-enable the channel strip setting (input / instrument) and it still doesn't work and I am out of loops really need to play something on the midi keyboard with a software instrument, but the menu doesn't appear in the channel strip at all please help, thanks in advance. WIZARDZ Posted September 18, 2020 Author Share Posted September 18, 2020 So I figured out on clicking the add software instrument option and before selecting that i could de-highlight some option and alchemy comes up but if I close alchemy with the little x symbol it disappears and it is still not present in the channel strip still only fx are presnt in the channel strip as the image shows? Open your Mixer and scroll all the way up to see the instrument slot at the top of the channel strip. Or use the Library to choose different patches. What i found is mixer shows alchemy as a listed option like it should be so yes those annoying upper fields mdi and track bars I don't care for them can we not remove them from view any way? And the other thing is that alchemy and a choice of instruments would normally appear in the middle where fx is any way in the channel strip but it doesn't it's fx that is taking over it's slot there. WIZARDZ Posted September 18, 2020 Author Share Posted September 18, 2020 Here's the library snap One other thing I really want to know is how to adjust a single sounds tempo on it's own to pull in vocal tempo to match the beat and rhythm of a song you drop it into that already exists, as it's always starting to early or doesn't align to the start points of other dragged in loops from splice for instance this is a nightmare, tried flex time and flex pitch and tempo operation to constant etc nothing ever forces a perfect match it's usually off set somehow? For example half the original vocals in this song i had to strip out as they'd not match the beat in any way they were ever so slightly to early or too late coming in and this is the same with some synths in a track you have made adding a sound you like next then auto goes 1000x to slow or too fast? So I've answered your question here already, anything left unclear? You can't see the top of the channel strip in the Inspector because your channel strip is too tall for the space available. To customize which fields a channel strip shows, control-click the channel strip and choose Channel Strip Components > ... (and select or deselect the components to show/hide them).
