eieio
Hi, I'm wanting to sweeten audio in an MPEG-4 video in Logic. When I import it, the audio skips and the I can't see the video. Does Logic not like MPEG-4?
logicben
Make sure your project settings are matching. song start vs. movie start: Project Settings > Synchronization > General and Project Settings > Movie
eieio
Everything is matched as your examples, except frame rate, I matched the project to the movie on import. It made no difference when I changed that to any other frame rate. Audio skipped and no video playback. Maybe I need to convert the video to another format first? logicben
The odd frame-rate in my project is because of a movie I was working on. It should match with the movie. Does the movie run fine in stand alone mode e.g. with quicktime player or similar? I'm not an expert in movie-formats. I use the movies I get from the film makers, and I usually have no issues. All the movies I am working on are mp4 (H.264).
eieio
Yes, it opens and plays with VLC.
triplets
And with quicktime?
eieio
No, not with QT 10.4 (the version I have). I get an error message: The operation could not be completed.

If it won't play in quicktime, then you need to converted to a format that it can read. Quicktime is the "gatekeeper" for Logic videos as far as I'm concerned. eieio
Yeah, I started working on a converter for QT. Thanks for your help.
triplets
Converting to mov files is a good start.
eieio
After converting everything worked as it should. Something strange was in in that MP4 package obviously. It was a video file from a shoot done in Mexico with their equipment. Maybe something to do with a different codec or whatever. Just glad to be beyond it.
