Logic Pro X ES Synth Out of tune?

Anyone know why ES2 might go out of tune durning play back? I though it was a modulation cc issue, but nothing I've tried is working. The part plays fine for the first few notes of a sequenced part then begins playing out of tune. I don't have any transpose data on the track.

 

I'm running version 10.5.1

I tried replaying with the track in record and pulled the mod wheel down. That was my first thought. Then I checked the transpose options in the region area as well as the global settings to make sure I hadn't put some key change info there

If you record a performance that goes out of tune and open the resulting MIDI region in the Event list, do you see any MDII CC evets?

The Mod wheel is not about pitch (unless you program your software instrument in that way). It is the Pitch Wheel (or -lever or other pitchbending contraption) you need to be looking at. Turn on MIDI monitoring in the LCD and watch out for pitch bend data. The wheel could be malfunctioning (happens regularly).

This is unfortunately more common than one would think. I've had the same issue arise with an older Kurzweil K2vx.

You could try disabling the Pitch Bend messaging (to see if that's the problem) by going Project Settings -> MIDI -> Input Filter. See if that stops it.
