Christopher11
This is just a post in praise of Logic's Compressor plugin. I've mostly always used Waves Rcomp and C1 comp... recently tried Logic's and I just love it. It's super easy to tweak, seems to work well with minimum effort, and I love the soft overdrive option. Very cool compressor.
des99
It is really good. I do like RenComp too, but C1 is rather bland sounding imo...
triplets
The most underrated Compressor.
Christopher11
Agreed on both counts.
triplets
I would say the same about the Vintage EQ collection in Logic. Use it a lot for character.
Alan Shields
I have an embarrassing collection of 3rd party plugins. These are well renowned and (of course) expensive. Yet when I look at my projects at least 90% of them use Logic's Compressor and Channel Eq. These are excellent workhorse plugins. Alan. des99
They can quite peacefully coexsist. https://www.googlefight.co.uk/logic+compressor-vs-fabfilter+compressor.php (Open in Chrome, doesn't seem to work in Safari, they just fight endlessly...) fisherking
They can quite peacefully coexsist. https://www.googlefight.co.uk/logic+compressor-vs-fabfilter+compressor.php (Open in Chrome, doesn't seem to work in Safari, they just fight endlessly...) it's more fun in safari, as they duke it out endlessly. also, it's not a fair fight; logic's compressor (obviously) comes with logic, fabfilter's has to be purchased separately. but hey, this is the internet; 'fair' is an abstract concept here.
